Sunchild was born under festival skies, open roads, music stages, and countless sunsets — a reflection of a life lived in pursuit of freedom, creativity, and connection.

At its core is Brett Savage, a musician, creator, and designer originally from South Africa. Brett’s journey began at a pivotal moment in history, becoming part of a Mandela-era band that caught the attention of Prince Charles, now King of England, during the post-apartheid movement — a time when music helped bridge cultures and reshape a nation.

His music career saw him share stages with global acts like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Chris Isaak, while headlining major festivals across South Africa before eventually bringing his sound and vision to the United States.

 

 

Today, Brett continues to create and evolve as an artist under his music label Sons of Savage, with releases available on Spotify and Apple Music under Sonsofsavage. His sound blends African roots with house music, carrying forward a lifetime of rhythm, storytelling, and soul.

Beyond music, Brett is a dedicated father to his two sons, who are both incredible creators, DJs, and producers, following in their dad’s footsteps and carving their own path in music.
